Wedding Photography at York Register Office and the York Minister, with
David & Menchie
What being fearless in front of the camera looks like.
Planned with simplicity and perfection, this was an intimate gathering. With plans for a big 300 guest wedding over in the Philippines early next year, this was a day for their very closest friends and family in England. The moment Menchie walked down the aisle with David’s mum got me all choked up with emotion, it was such a beautiful moment to witness.
So what do you do when the ceremony is at 10.30am and the reception is at 2pm?
You take your very excited photographer for a walk around York Minster of course. I absolutely adore all that is York, especially its iconic historical cathedral on a perfect sunny September day. Having so much time to just walk through the streets was incredible and these guys loved every second. Menchie is so confident in front of the camera and a joy to capture. To make it even more spectacular, there was an abundance of well wishers and congratulations from the general public. David said it was like being famous for the day. We joked about doing it every weekend; them in their wedding attire and me following them around like their personal paparazzi.
Menchie wore the most beautiful vintage dress she had bought from the Philippines. Her Brother’s best friend, Christopher, added a pearl and stone design to the dress as Menchie said it was too plain, and knowing Menchie, she is not a plain type a lady. The sparkle really suited her bubbly personality.
So with all that said in words, dive into the photos from this wonderful and cheerful day. You can find links to the suppliers they used at the bottom of this blog.
