Merchant Taylor’s Hall, York Wedding Photography.
It is a scenario you may have heard a few times now. When Melanie and Matthew first got in touch with me, they explained when planning their wedding day, they didn’t want a photographer. But, with a few weeks to go, they decided they really wanted some “good quality” images of their ceremony and guests. They told me their wedding plans where low-key and they wanted this reflected in the images, with lots of informal, candid and relaxed photos. I remember thinking at this point, we are going to get on like a house on fire. With a busy summer full of lots of lovely weddings already, I was so relieved to be available for this gorgeous Friday wedding, full of adorable kids and proud parents.
It was a joy to photograph these guys, their ceremony was just lovely and it was such good fun to take a walk with them on the Bar Walls for a few portraits. I felt honored to make it into Matt’s speech, explaining that they had admired my work and how grateful they were to have booked me so last minute. Honestly, the pleasure was mine. Thank you both for having me along and I wish you both all the best as Husband and Wife.
