Lucy & Jamie

June 5, 2018

Red telephone box wedding portraits with bride and groom. Outside York Minster.

A 1960’s / Mod / Northern Soul inspired wedding.

At York Registery Office, The Grange Hotel and Thomas’s of York pub.

York wedding photography.

I am so excited to be sharing this wonderful wedding with the world. I quite literally want to make posters of Lucy and Jamie’s happy little faces and plaster the streets with them.

Meet the couple:

Although these two are vintage crazy, they met in a rather modern way, online.

How did they get engaged?

“Laughing our heads off playing ‘name that tune’ on kazoos and knew we wanted to be together forever. When I came home from hospital in January we decided what is the point in waiting and booked everything in a day!”

Their love for life and laughter is so infectious. Their wedding day was full of the people they love, playing kazoos and wearing fake moustaches singing ‘Always look on the bright side of life’. For the ‘Wedding Breakfast’ we had afternoon tea at The Grange Hotel, it was delicious and they went out of their way to create a vegan plate for me – piled high with sandwiches, cakes and scones.

I believe the moral of Lucy and Jamie’s love story is, BE YOU ON YOUR WEDDING DAY!

Lucy & Jamie, thank you for making me part of your wedding day, I LOVE YOU GUYS! x
