East Yorkshire Barns, Wedding Photographer.
Dresses
Where do I start? Let’s go back to the beginning, when I met the lovely Katherine of Kate’s Bridal Room, at Ripon Cathedral whilst photographing a wedding fair there. It only took a few minutes of chatting to realise we are both wedding crazies and love anything outside the wedding box.
I was admiring the rails of gorgeous dresses whilst she told me about her wedding dress business. That’s when we started talking about creating a styled shoot to show them off to future brides, but it had to be something fun and different. As soon as she mentioned the words, “coloured powder” I was sold. Katherine had a few damaged but still adorable dresses that needed to be brought back to life in colour and glory one last time.
I have to say a massive thanks to the models, you were flipping awesome. Also to everyone involved. One of my favorite days this year!

Venue
And as for the venue, well we needed somewhere fun, rustic and with loads of outdoor space. East Yorkshire Barns hit the nail on the head. Due to open for it’s first wedding at the end of August 2017, the unfinished and utterly charming venue was our perfect backdrop. The owners, Kate and her husband were just incredible and so helpful. I completely fell in love with this place as soon as I set eyes on it.
Wedding Hair Accessories
The talented and forward thinking Jo at Knot & Bloom knew exactly what to create for this shoot, and she produced four insanely good head pieces to complete our look.
Flowers
Claire Slater came up with the idea of colourful, young and playful flowers for our four brides. Not only that, but her awesome personality and hilarious presence on the day made for much fun and laughter for us all. I love working with this lady!
Hair & Make-up
Escape Hair Salon in Burnley did a great job with the bridal hair. Along with one of our lovely models, Ebony, doing the make-up. What a dream team right?
